Sizing is very important to ensure proper use of the DRYPRO.
1. Measure the circumference of your arm at 2 inches above the cast or wound. If this is at the elbow, then measure above the elbow. The cast cover will not work if sealed at the elbow.
2. Measure the length from your fingertips to 2 inches above the cast or wound. As long as the length of the cast cover is longer than your measurement, you are good to go! Any excess material in length will be shrunken down with the vacuum seal.
Most people struggle to protect their casts or wounds from getting wet and staying 100% drywhile bathing, showering, swimming, doing outdoor activities, and receiving hydrotherapy. And most people have an upcoming vacation booked, and now it’s ruined because of their injury. They try using plastic gloves, ziploc, trash bags or inexpensive, generic, made-in-China off-white bag products. This is not easy to do by yourself, it is time consuming, and is not 100% waterproof or tear-resistant. We help them take a warm bath or relaxing shower properly, and fully enjoy swimming, kayaking, and other water-based activities. This provides a feeling of confidence because they know their casts or wounds are actually staying dry.
My six year old broke her arm the very last day of school. This lasted all summer while she swam, ran through the sprinkler, showered, and participated in all water activity. She quickly learned how to out on and off and keep tight. Her cast NEVER got wet.
